Go2sACN is stage lighting control for iPhone and iPad. It sends sACN (E1.31) over Wi-Fi to your lighting gear: patch fixtures, lay them out on a magic sheet, set looks, record cues and run the show.

What you need

sACN gear on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad: an sACN-to-DMX node or gateway, or dimmers and fixtures that take sACN. Go2sACN doesn't send DMX down a cable or Art-Net.

Getting started

• Keypad (the first page): type it the way you would on a console, 1 THRU 10 AT 5 ENTER. One digit is tens (AT 5 is 50%); FULL and OUT go at once. With fixtures patched, switch between CHAN (channel numbers) and ADDR (DMX addresses); in ADDR, 2/1 is universe 2, address 1.
• Patch: on the magic sheet, tap + to add fixtures from the built-in library. They wait at the bottom until you drag them onto the sheet, where they sit as they hang over the stage.
• Control: switch the magic sheet to Control, tap fixtures to select them, and set intensity, color (wheel, gel books, whites), position and beam below.
• Cues: RECORD ENTER records the next cue. The last page runs the cue list with GO, HOLD/BACK and GO TO CUE; Lock keeps it on screen for the show.
• Held levels (shown in red) stay on top of cues until you SNEAK them out or record them.

The status line says “Not sending”

• Tap it to see why.
• Check that the iPhone or iPad is on the lighting network's Wi-Fi, not cellular or another network.
• Allow Local Network: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Go2sACN.
• If your network blocks multicast, send unicast instead: in Go2sACN, Settings (gear) > Unicast to, and type your node's IP address.

The lights don't respond

• The universe in Go2sACN has to match the universe your node or fixture listens to. The status line shows the universes being sent.
• Go2sACN sends at priority 99, just under a console's usual 100, so a running console wins. Release the console, or raise Go2sACN's priority in Settings.
• Check the fixture's DMX address and mode against the patch.
• Keep Go2sACN open while it runs your lights: iOS pauses apps you leave.

Free and Go2sACN Full

Free: the sACN address keypad on one universe, 2 cues, and 1 patched fixture to try the controls and the magic sheet. Go2sACN Full is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: any number of fixtures and cues, color gel books, groups, favorites and Repatch by Position. Add 4 or 16 universes after Full.

• New phone or iPad? Go2sACN Settings (gear) > Go2sACN Full > Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
• Refunds go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your shows

Every show is saved as you work, on your device. Share a show file from Settings > Show by AirDrop, Messages, Mail or Files; the Files app also sees them under Go2sACN.

Privacy

Go2sACN collects nothing about you. Privacy policy.
